COVID-19 Statement and Situation


Since we serve the healthcare, biotech, and pharmaceutical industry we have been designated an essential business and we are asked to remain open. It is important that we stay operational to serve our customers and deliver products to researchers and healthcare providers during the current situation. We take seriously our responsibility to educate and protect our people in order to minimize the impact of this Pandemic. To effectively remain open during this time we are taking the following steps:

Remote Work

We have asked those that can work from home to do so until local restrictions are lifted.

Sales Calls & Interaction

Our Sales teams have been asked to minimize travel for at least until travel restrictions in their regions are lifted.

Travel

We have suspended all international and domestic air travel until December, 2020.

Social Distancing

In our facilities we have implemented a program of physical distancing and changed shifts to allow the maximum separation between our employees. We are following guidance from the U.S Centers for Disease Control for minimum distances.

Supply Chain & Sourcing

Many of the PCR and transport products we make are in very high demand and the potential for back orders exists. We are monitoring this situation very closely as we make the components for COVID-19 diagnostic kits. We have experienced shortages of some components and raw materials that are in high demand throughout the world. We are adding capacity whenever possible or practical.

Customer Support & Service

Our customer support is available and functioning normally by phone, email and online chat. You can place orders and receive updates on orders you have placed as usual. Because of significant increases in support requests we strive to respond to these requests within 48 hours. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Online Chat has been expanded and is available from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST/PDT.

Inventory & Stock

Our stock positions are changing daily but we are continuing to make and ship product every day. As we have a reduced facility census for social distancing some lead times may be longer than expected. Please check with us on critical items at custsupport@labcon.com. We are following a "first-in first out" policy on orders, so orders placed receive priority over any inquiries. We are experiencing longer lead times on some Aerosol Pipette Tips for LTS Style Pipettes. In most cases you will receive the items you order on this webshop within 10 business days. Items affected by longer lead times are marked as COVID-19 SHIPPING DELAY on the products pages. In some cases these items may not be received by you for up to 30 days.

Logistics & Services

Labcon manufactures the items shown on our website in California. In some cases transportation, sterilization, and shipping are slower than normal. This is simply because some areas have shut down transportation. Access to air cargo and ground transport have been constrained. We are managing this the best possible to prevent disruptions.
